Rapid Appeals Modernization Program (RAMP) What do I do if I disagree with my RAMP decision?
Published 05/14/2018 09:28 AM | Updated 05/14/2018 10:03 AMWhat do I do if I disagree with my RAMP decision?
If you disagree with the RAMP decision, you will have a full year to select another review option. RAMP has increased effective date protections over the current appeals process. This means that regardless of the review option that you choose there is no "wrong choice." If you request a Higher-Level Review, file a Supplemental Claim, or Appeal to the Board of Veterans' Appeals within one year after you receive a RAMP decision, the potential effective date for your benefits will be protected. You will not have the option to return to the less efficient legacy appeals process but you will have all the benefits of the new process.
