What is Hepatitis C and what should I do if I suspect I have it?
Hepatitis is basically an inflammation of the liver, the organ that eliminates toxins and is important in metabolism. VA will test any eligible enrolled veteran who believes he or she has been exposed to hepatitis C. VA will also provide treatment for those who test positive and you may be responsible for a co-payment. For more information, please contact your local VA Medical Center.
